Imbalance between your bite, your joint and your muscles leads to a variety of problems. These problems range from worn, broken teeth to head, neck and joint pain. The joint that functions with the opening and closing of your jaw is the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) and pain from this joint results from a TMJ disorder (TMD)
What we commonly call headaches is very often muscle pain from strained muscles of the head and neck.
Frequently migraines are the result of this same disharmony in these structures.
TMJ noises, locking and pain are other results of this imbalance. Dr. Bonazza can often relieve this pain using neuromuscular dentistry. Neuromuscular dentistry differs from traditional dentistry in its approach to the head and neck musculature. Sophistocated computerized analysis is used to evaluate muscle activity and indicate corrective treatment.
