Our recent announcement is that Dr. Bonazza and his staff will relocate across Portland St. in Evergreen Place. The move is expected in early January, 2009. The office will be very comfortable and bright, with windows along the entire side of the office. It will offer the latest in equipment and services. All xrays will be digital which significantly reduces radiation and provides much improved diagnostics. A hands-free sterilization center is also state-of-the-art. Expect an impressive tour on your first visit.
Dr. Bonazza has completed yet another course at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. This course involved changing the patient’s bite to eliminate headache, muscle and joint pain while providing spectacular cosmetics. Dr. Bonazza and his team are also being trained in Invisalign which is orthodontics achieved without braces. A thin clear tray is used to progressively move teeth. Ask us about it.
We have upgraded our computer system to serve you better. Our entire team took a weekend of training which allows us to handle your account better, remind you of your appointment by email or text, record your treatment provided and planned in the operatories (to reduce your time at the front desk) and many other enhancements.
Our entire team also took a three day course in office systems and patient management. All of this will improve your experience in our office.
Dr. Bonazza has been providing Pure Power Mouthguards. The appliance has been increasingly used in the professional ranks as you will see if you visit the website. This recreational appliance which enhances strength and balance, applies similar neuromuscular concepts that are used by Dr. Bonazza to optimize the bite for patients suffering from headaches and TMJ pain. Dates have not yet been arranged but if you have interest please click on Contact Us and leave us an email message."We were recently treated to two days of office management consultation by Mr. Ashley Johnson. He had a number of valuable techniques to enable us to operate more smoothly and effectively and serve you better. Mr. Johnson lives in Florida but commutes to Las Vegas at least once monthly and does office consultations the rest of the time. He has a wealth of knowledge based on his experiences in some of the finest cosmetic practices on the continent.
Our team spent an evening together doing our CPR recertification as we do biannually, a training/safety update that we take seriously.
Dr. Bonazza had recent training resulting in his certification as a provider of Pure Power Mouthguards. The course not only addressed the dental techniques but provided gymnasium sessions where the incredible effectiveness of the product was tested. We were updated on the buzz is the Pure Power Mouthguards are making with professional sports teams and athletes. Recent meetings with NBA trainers went very well and it is expected that many of their players teams will be using the product this fall.
In early June, Ms. Christine Ingram, Ms. Joanne Bonazza and Dr. Paul Bonazza attended two courses at the Las Vegas Institute. The first course reviewed all the current concepts in restorative dentistry. It was a terrific update of materials and methods related to cosmetics, fillings, crowns etc. Ms. Ingram even had some work doneand would be happy to share her experience with you. The second course focused on interpretation of K7 Computerized Analysis. This highly specialized equipment tracks jaw movements, records joint sounds, measures head and neck muscle activity simultaneously. This analysis is invaluable to comprehensive treatment. We use this equipment to evaluate and treat bite problems, headaches, migraines and other head, neck, and dental problems and also to restore patients in their optimal bite position.
Late in June, Dr. Bonazza attended an orthodontic course given by the leading neuromuscularly trained orthodontist/instructor, Dr. Jay Gerber. The course was given in his training facility in West Virginia and provides us with yet another treatment option..
In other news, we are very pleased to welcome Ms. Francine Leach to our team. She is a very enthusiastic and highly skilled hygienist who brings a wealth of attributes to our practice. We are very pleased to have her working with us and are sure you will find her very efficient and informative. Welcome Francine.
